Chennai, Sept. 24 -- The Tamil Nadu government today announced that 10.86 croreseedlings were planted across the State so far under the Green TN Mission to furtherincrease the forest and tree cover in the State.
The state government was observing September 24 every year as Green Tamil NaduMission Day, ever since Chief Minister M K Stalin launched the Mission this day in2022, to reinforce the objectives of increasing tree cover, strengthening biodiversityand promoting people's participation in greening efforts across the State.
