Srinagar, April 29 -- Ten security personnel, including eight CRPF jawans and two policemen, were injured on Tuesday when their vehicle met with an accident in central Kashmir's Budgam district.

The incident took place in the Tangnar area of Doodhpathri Khansahib when the CRPF vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge, officials said.

"Eight CRPF personnel and two police men were injured in the accident," they said, adding the injured personnel were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital at Khansahib for treatment.

Officials said some of the injured were later shifted to 92 Base Hospital in Srinagar for treatment.

Police has registered a case and taken up the investigation. UNI MJR CS
