Damascus, Jan. 1 -- One person was killed, and several members of Syria's internal security forces were wounded on Wednesday after a suicide bomber targeted a police patrol in the Bab al-Faraj area of northern Syria's Aleppo city, according to several state media reports.
SANA news agency reported that the attacker detonated himself near a patrol of the internal security forces. The wounded were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment, while security forces cordoned off the area and launched an investigation into the incident.
Al-Ikhbariyah TV reported that the attacker detonated himself during a security check after officers grew suspicious of his behavior.
