Srinagar, Sept. 22 -- Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg today said that approximately 1,37,000 metric tonnes of fruit have been dispatched from the Valley along National Highway, Mughal Road, and the recently launched parcel train service over the last few days.
Speaking to reporters in Srinagar, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Garg, accompanied by IG Traffic Suleman Choudhary, also provided updates on essential services and ongoing restoration work.
He said around 1,500 to 2,000 trucks carrying fresh fruit, empty containers, and other vehicles are being moved daily from the Valley to Jammu via the highways on an alternate basis to ensure a smooth flow of essential supplies.
