Ahilyanagar, Feb. 16 -- A milk adulteratiion racket has been busted in a joint operation by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) along with the Local Crime Branch, an official said on Monday.

Around 1,200 litres of adulterated milk were seized and destroyed, and three persons arrested following the raid on a premises in Fakrabad village of Jamkhed taluka.

During the raid, officials confiscated harmful liquid substances used to artificially increase fat content and chemical powder collectively worth approximately rupees 2.80 lakh. Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused were allegedly adding these substances to milk to enhance fat levels before supplying it for sale.
