Chennai, Nov. 21 -- Asserting that the struggle to secure the rights of states and establish real federalism will continue, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Friday said, "We will not rest till the Constitution is amended to set a deadline for assenting Bills".
Despite the apex court being averse to stipulate a deadline on the President and Governors, Stalin, taking to 'X', said "We will not rest until the Constitution is amended to set a deadline for Governors to assent and clear Bills, passed by the Assembly."Reacting to the Supreme Court's observaton on the Presidential reference, he drew attention to "The Court's explanation that its opinion will have no impact on the April, 8, 2005 judgment in the case filed by Tamil Nadu."
