Sangli (Maharashtra), Aug. 16 -- The former state president of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP-SP), Jayant Patil, today said that Walva tehsil of this district is "self-respecting and does not bend easily and will fight till the end."
Patil's statement came amid media reports of his possible resignation from the party.
He was speaking at the inauguration of a hall at the Mahatma Phule educational institution in Islampur.
Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and Minister Chandrakant Patil were also present at the event as chief guests.
