Kolkata, Dec. 27 -- Electors who have been marked "unmapped" despite having self or progeny linkage with the authenticated hard copy of the 2002 electoral roll -issued by the District Electoral Officers (DEOs) and published on the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), West Bengal website - may not be required to appear for hearings during the ongoing revision exercise due to technical problems in digitising legacy voter data.
According to an official communication sent to district election officers, the CEO's office stated that incomplete conversion of the 2002 electoral roll from PDF to CSV format has prevented the Booth Level Officer (BLO) application from fetching linkages for a large number of electors.
