New Delhi, Nov. 8 -- In the backdrop of pollution levels in the national Capital, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has directed the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB) to conduct a survey across slums and JJ clusters to know how many families still use conventional wood-fired stoves or traditional braziers.
According to the CM, such families will be provided cooking gas connections, cleaner cooking methods under the Ujjwala scheme, so that they do not have to use the older cooking methods, which will help prevent pollution.
Gupta said her government is working on a war footing to curb pollution in the city, and the teams are on ground, taking actions against sources of pollution.
