Kolkata, April 19 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday launched a sharp attack on the ruling All India Trinamool Congress (TMC), alleging that the party aims to establish "a government of infiltrators" in the state.

Addressing a campaign rally in the tribal-dominated district of Jhargram, the Prime Minister said the upcoming Assembly elections would be a decisive battle to protect the identity and land of West Bengal.

"TMC is moving ahead with a dangerous agenda. They want to create a government of illegal infiltrators - a government that will speak their language, follow their religion, and work only for their benefit. The common people of West Bengal will become the principal enemy of such a government," Modi said.
