Hyderabad, March 26 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Thursday told the Assembly that an average of Rs 89 crore per month was being spent under the Aarogyasri scheme until December 6, 2023.
Outlining his government's healthcare initiatives, he said substantial funds have been allocated for the welfare of the poor.
The Chief Minister dismissed allegations that private hospitals were shutting down due to pending dues, terming them "false propaganda".
Addressing the House, the CM said the previous BRS government had left significant arrears under Aarogyasri, adding that his government has cleared a large portion of the dues while enhancing the scheme's coverage from Rs 5-10 lakh.
