Jammu, May 20 -- The Indian Army on Tuesday said that Poonch Brigade was not just the part but heart of the Operation Sindoor.
"As you are aware, Poonch Brigade was engaged in intense and continuous operations during Operation Sindoor to blunt the unprovoked aggression by Pakistan across the Line of Control," Brigadier Mudit Mahajan, Commander Poonch Brigade, told media at a press briefing in Poonch.
"We did not wait to react; we prepared to respond. To that extent, I will say Poonch Brigade was not a part but the heart of "Operation Sindoor," Brig Mahajan said.
"Pakistan-sponsored terror strike at Pahalgam was met with a calibrated response from the Indian Army, initially focusing solely on terrorist infrastructure."
