Tehran, April 25 -- No meeting is planned between Iran and the United States in Islamabad, Iranian Foreign ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said on Saturday.
"No meeting is planned to take place between Iran and the US. Iran's observations would be conveyed to Pakistan," he said.
"We arrive in Islamabad for an official visit. Foreign Minister (Abbas) Araghchi will be meeting with Pakistani high-level officials in concert with their ongoing mediation and good offices for ending American imposed war of aggression and the restitution of peace in our region," he said on X early Saturday.
Araghchi arrived in Islamabad late Friday night to meet Pakistani leadership and discuss the latest situation.
