London, Feb. 23 -- Amid the ongoing Ukraine invasion, Mr Nobody Against Putin triumphed at the 79th BAFTA Awards, taking home the Best Documentary award.
Written and directed by David Borenstein, the film exposes the moral complexities and human courage behind a small-town Russian school's transformation into a war recruitment center, bringing the personal cost of conflict into stark focus.
The lead, Pavel Talankin, who recorded much of the footage during the conflict, attended the ceremony alongside Borenstein.
