New Delhi, Sept. 21 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi today made a strong appeal for Swadeshi, urging every citizen to prioritise 'Made in India' products in daily life, as India prepares to implement the next generation of Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms from tomorrow.

"Let every home, every shop be Swadeshi," the Prime Minister said in a televised address, calling on states and citizens to embrace self-reliance as the guiding principle for national progress.

"What the nation needs and what can be made in India should be made in India itself," he said during the address.
