Los Angeles, July 12 -- Academy Award winning director and producer Peter Jackson, best known for his 17 Oscars winning 'The Lord Of The Rings' film trilogy, and his acclaimed 'The Hobbit' film trilogy, has said that he has not yet retired from filmmaking.

He said this when asked about his 11-year-long gap from making films, in an interview with Screen Rant.

Jackson said "No, no. I'm certainly not retired. We are currently working on three different screenplays. I'm at the moment writing three different scripts.

"We are producing and have been writing 'The Hunt for Gollum', which Andy Serkis is going to direct next year."

However, the New Zealand based filmmaker did not give many details.
