Los Angeles, May 20 -- 'Lethal Weapon' co-stars Danny Glover and Mel Gibson are back together again ahead of the long-anticipated fifth installment of the iconic action-buddy cop- comedy franchise.
However, despite a lot of fan interest, studio attempts, and a completed script, the project continues to be stuck in development hell.
Gibson, who is set to direct the fifth film after original director Richard Donner's death in 2021 at the age of 91, explained why 'Lethal Weapon 5' is taking so long to get made, even though he believes the script could be the best of the entire series.
