Lucknow, May 1 -- Women and Child Development Minister in Uttar Pradesh government Baby Rani Maurya on Thursday said "insulting" Baba Saheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar is in the DNA of Samajwadi Party (SP).
In a statement Maurya said that cutting off half of Baba Saheb's picture from a hoarding of SP and replacing it with SP chief Akhilesh Yadav's picture is extremely shameful and an insult to Baba Saheb and his followers. "Insulting Ambedkar is in the DNA of SP. This is not a mistake," she alleged.
She also mentioned the controversial statement of former SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, in which he had described the rape incident as a 'mistake committed by children' and said that 'they are boys, boys make mistakes'.
