Dehradun, Oct. 9 -- Uttarakhand police removed posters of 'I Love Mohammad' from a mosque at Lalkuan in Nainital following complaints from right wing organisations.
According to the police, posters would have led to communal disharmony in the region.
Last evening, members of right-wing organisations, mainly Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajarang Dal in Lalkuan area, lodged a complaint against the 'I Love Mohammed' posters put on the walls of Roshan Mosque. Expressing displeasure, they alleged that the posters were likely to disturb peace and communal harmony in the region, and demanded immediate action.
Reiterating their points of maintaining "communal harmony in the region", police removed the posters from the wall of the mosque.
