London, Nov. 30 -- Renowned actress Dame Judi Dench has revealed that her vision has deteriorated considerably due to advanced macular degeneration, compelling her to step back from both theatre and film.

The degenerative condition, which affects the central part of the retina, has left her unable to read or recognise faces, although she can still perceive general shapes and outlines, reports DEADLINE.
