Nagpur, Aug. 25 -- Babanrao Taiwade, national president of the All-India OBC Federation, today questioned Maratha activist Manoj Jarange's political power, asking, 'How many MLAs do you have backing you?'Taiwade's comment came in response to Jarange's recent threat to overthrow the Maharashtra government if the state fails to grant reservation to the Maratha community.
Jarange has issued a two-day ultimatum and announced a protest at Mumbai's Azad Maidan on August 29.
Speaking to reporters, Taiwade criticised Jarange's "inconsistent stance", noting that he should have contested the assembly elections and fielded his own candidates if he wished to topple the government.
