Panaji, Dec. 13 -- Indra - 2019, being jointly conducted by Indian and Russian navies off Goa coast, will further strengthen relations between armed forces of Russia and India and enable them in undertaking joint operations in a cohesive manner to address common challenges, a joint statement issued by Indian and Russian Navies said on Friday.
The joint statement issued by Vladimir Vorobe, Chief-of-Staff, Russian Federation Navy and Indian Flag Officer Commanding Goa Naval Area, Rear Admiral Philipose G Pynumootil, also said the skills earned by personnel of both the Navies would help in execution of maritime operational task while promoting joint operations.
