New Delhi, Nov. 27 -- Affirming the government's commitment to protecting citizens' financial rights, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday joined union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary at the 'Aapki Poonji, Aapka Adhikaar' programme at the Dr Ambedkar International Centre.
Emphasising that "every citizen's every rupee is safe," the Chief Minister said the nationwide campaign is ensuring unclaimed bank deposits, mutual funds, insurance amounts, shares and dividends are returned only to their rightful beneficiaries.
She noted that Rs 85 crore has already been refunded to genuine claimants, supported by district-level camps, dedicated helpdesks and digital platforms designed to simplify access to unclaimed funds.
