Bengaluru, July 30 -- Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara today said that the state government will decide on whether senior IPS officer Pronab Mohanty will continue as the head of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the Dharmasthala mass burial case, depending on the legal and administrative provisions. Speaking to reporters, Parameshwara addressed concerns over Mohanty's likely central deputation after being empanelled as a Director General-rank officer by the Union Government. "We will discuss if he (Mohanty) can continue to head the SIT while serving at the Centre. If the law and rules permit it, he will continue.
