Hyderabad, Jan. 13 -- Hyderabad city Police Commissioner Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy on Saturday praised the pivotal role played by the Hyderabad City Armed forces in defending the capital city.

Inspecting a ceremonial parade at Petiaburj ground during his visit to the City Armed Forces Division and Training Wings, Reddy commended the forces.

Addressing the staff and officers, Reddy said the Hyderabad city Armed Forces system, which originated in 1932 as the Afghan city police armed system and has since evolved into a formidable police force in the city.
