New Delhi, Feb. 22 -- Taapsee Pannu's courtroom drama 'Assi' saw only a modest rise in box office collections on its second day, indicating a subdued overall performance despite hopes for a strong weekend boost.

Directed by Anubhav Sinha, the film's Day 2 numbers suggest gradual, rather than significant, momentum.

The film, which opened on Friday with an estimated net of Rs 1 crore, added approximately Rs 1.60 crore on Saturday, bringing its two-day total to around Rs 2.60 crore, according to early estimates by Sacnilk.
