Srinagar, Nov. 15 -- At least nine people were killed and 32 injured, including 27 policemen, after a cache of confiscated explosives detonated inside a police station at Srinagar's Nowgam Police Station on Friday night, police said.
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday ordered a probe into the accidental explosion at Srinagar's Nowgam Police Station, while condoling the loss of life.
Speaking at a press conference, J&K Police Chief Nalin Prabhat on Saturday said that the blast in the Srinagar police station was accidental and ruled out any terror angle. Prabhat added the cause was being probed.
