Bhola, July 9 -- A case has been filed in Bhola's Charfesson upazila after a youth was allegedly taken out from his home and tortured for protesting the harassment of his sister.

The incident took place on Friday (July 4) in the Char Madraj union in Meyazanpur village. It came to light four days later when a video of the torture was circulated on social media. Following the video's circulation, a case was filed with Charfesson Police Station on Tuesday night.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Charfesson Police Station Md Mizanur Rahman Hawlader said that a case has been filed at Char Fashion Police Station over the torture of the young man and investigation is currently underway.
