, June 28 -- year-old man was stabbed to death by his rivals over drug peddling at Mohishkundi village in Daulatpur upazila of Kushita district on Friday night.

The deceased was identified as Mohon Ali, 25, son of Madan Ali of Jamalpur district.

Quoting local people, Nazmul Huda, officer-in-charge-of Daulatpur Police Station, said Mohon had an enmity with some drug peddlers of Thotarpara and Jamalpur villages for long.

As a sequel to the enmity, the alleged drug peddlers from Tothatpara village opened fire on Mohon and his friend Hridoy when they went to the village to see an ailing friend on Friday afternoon.
