, May 24 -- Aricha highway remained suspended for three hours on Friday, as the local people blocked the highway following the death of a young man in a road accident in Shabaloy upazila of Manikganj district.

Police said Nishad, 25 was killed and two others were injured when a motorbike crashed into another in front of Falsatia Oxygen Resort on Friday evening.

Witnesses said, later the local people put up barricade on the highway, disrupting vehicular movement.

Vehicular movement on the highway came to normal around 9 pm after joint forces intervention.

Witnesses said the accident occurred when one motorbike hit another after police gave a signal to stop the first one.
