Brahmanbaria, Dec. 13 -- A young man was shot in public in the court area of Nabinagar Municipality in Brahmanbaria on Friday evening.

The incident occurred around 7:00 pm near Kalibari Mor in the court vicinity.

The injured has been identified as Md. Rabbi, 21, son of Md. Helal Mia, a resident of Shahbazpur Upazila. He currently lives in a rented house in Majhikara area of the municipality.

Rabbi was initially taken to Nabinagar Hospital and later referred to Cumilla Medical College Hospital for further treatment.
