Dhaka, July 8 -- A teenage workshop worker died after the cornice of a wall collapsed on him in the capital's Aftabnagar area Tuesday night.

The deceased was identified as Ramzan, 16, son of Md Selim and Hena from Pakuria village in Sherpur Sadar upazila of Sherpur district.

Ramzan was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 2:00 am in critical condition, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Inspector Md Faruk, in charge of the DMCH police outpost, said the body has been kept at the hospital morgue.
