, Jan. 6 -- year-old woman was found dead at her residence in Kusumbag Police Park area of Khilgaon in the capital early Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Sonia Akter, an employee of a software company and daughter Delwar Hossain of Heligunia area in Barguna Sadar.

Family members said they rescued Sonia in an unconscious state and rushed her to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared her dead around 4:30am.

She had been living with her husband in a rented flat in the area.

Her husband, Md Forkan, who brought her to the hospital, said they had an argument over family matters on Monday night.

Following the dispute, Sonia went into her room and locked the door.
