Kushtia, Aug. 8 -- A housewife died from electrocution while turning the switch of an electric pump on at Mukshidpur village in Betbaria upazila of Kushtia on Friday morning.

The deceased was identified as Sajeda (55), wife of Abdul Mannan who was also severely injured by electrocution as well attempting to save his wife.

According to the source of the local hospital, Sajeda was brought dead to the hospital and had severe burn marks.

Dr. Abir Hossain Sohag, the medical officer of the Upazila Health Complex, informed that the police were informed of the incident for legal procedures.
