, Nov. 15 -- Police blocked a musical procession by Udichi Shilpigoshthi, the cultural collective, on Sunday, organized to demand reconsideration of the government's decision to cancel recruitment of music and physical education teachers in public primary schools.
The march, which began in front of the National Press Club, was stopped by police near the Shilpakala Academy in Segunbagicha.
Udichi artists said they intended to proceed to the Chief Adviser's residence at Jamuna Gate to present their songs.
