Dhaka, June 15 -- Bangladeshi pacers should concentrate more on consistency and control than speed to succeed in the World Cup, Tigers' bowling coach Courtney Walsh said Friday.

Bangladesh have played four matches in the World Cup so far and won just one against South Africa. In the other three matches, they lost two and one was washed out due to rain.

Tigers are now getting ready to face West Indies on June 17 at Taunton.

"Pace is sometimes helpful for fast bowlers. But to me, consistency and control are more important. You can recoup the pace with your variations, and we have been successful this way," Walsh told the media.
