Dhaka, June 15 -- BNP senior leader Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury on Saturday said Bangladeshi youths are opting to take risky voyage to go abroad for lack of jobs in the country.

"Having failed to endure the pain of unemployment and repression, some Bangladeshi youths are now drifting of the coast of Tunisia," he told a discussion.

The BNP leader further said, "Why several thousand people are fleeing Bangladesh by taking such a risky voyage and drowning? Can they answer to the question those who now talk about the development of the country?"

Jatiyatabadi Tanti Dal arranged the programme at the Jatiya Press Club demanding the release of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia.
