, Sept. 2 -- United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk has recommended that States Members of the United Nations maintain 'specific political focus' and attention on the human rights crisis in Myanmar, with particular emphasis on the situation of the Rohingya and other minorities, reflecting their voices in international policy responses.
In a new report published on Tuesday, the State members urged to refrain from the transfer or authorisation of the transfer of arms, jet fuel, surveillance equipment or technologies and dual-use items that risk contributing to violations of international humanitarian law or violations and abuses of international human rights law.
