Dhaka, April 10 -- Two people were killed and another injured in a mob beating in the Sylhetia Bazar area of Kamrangirchar on Wednesday night.

The deceased were identified as Nadim, son of Sultan Mia from Shahidnagar in Lalbagh, and Masud, son of Sona Mia from Acharwala Ghat area in Kamrangirchar.

The injured, identified as 30-year-old Sohag, is currently in police custody after receiving treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

Sub-inspector Amanullah Aman of Kamrangirchar Police Station said Masud died on the spot after being beaten by a mob.
