Transport strike in Sylhet, B'baria postponed
Sylhet, June 22 -- Transport owners and workers have postponed their strike scheduled for June 24 in Sylhet division and Brahmanbaria.
Earlier a transport strike was called protesting launch of Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) bus service on Sylhet-Sunamganj highway.
Sunamganj Deputy Commissioner Md Abdul Ahad told media that the decision of postponing the strike was taken on Friday night after a meeting between Sylhet Divisional transport owners-workers unity council and Passengers' Rights Protection Council.
