, Jan. 14 -- Dhaka witnessed severe traffic congestion on Wednesday as students of seven government colleges blocked key roads including the Science Lab intersection, demanding the promulgation of an ordinance to establish Dhaka Central University.

The protesters brought out a procession from Dhaka College and blocked Science Lab road around 12:45pm.

Besides, students put up blockades at Tantibazar intersection around 11:45am and at the Technical intersection around 12:30pm, said witnesses.
