Munshiganj, March 29 -- The Padma Bridge has witnessed a surge in toll collection, generating Tk 4.25 crore on Friday as 39,637 vehicles crossed smoothly for Eid, prompting authorities to open an additional temporary toll booth at the Mawa end to manage the traffic.

Among the vehicles, nearly 10,000 motorcycles contributed significantly to the toll revenue. Authorities have ensured a smooth toll collection process to prevent congestion at the plaza.
