Jashore, March 19 -- Three people were killed and two others injured in a collision between an ambulance and an engine-run van on Jashore-Benapole highway in Jashore early Wednesday.

The deceased were Nazma Khatun, 50, Bablu Hossain, 54, and Ratna Khatun, 12, hailing from Godkhali area under Jhikargacha upazila of the district.

The injured are Hasan Iqbal, 30, and Halima Khatun, 28. All the victims were passengers of the van.
