Dhaka, March 28 -- 34 and Nicholas Pooran's record-breaking half-century powered Lucknow Super Giants to a commanding five-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Thursday.

Thakur's early breakthroughs, including successive dismissals of Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan, restricted Hyderabad to 190-9 after Lucknow captain Rishabh Pant opted to chase.

In reply, Pooran's explosive 70 off 26 balls, along with Mitchell Marsh's 52 off 31, propelled Lucknow to victory in just 16.1 overs.
