, Sept. 2 -- Tension continues at Chittagong University as a case has been filed against more than 1,000 people over Sunday's clashes between students and locals following the manhandling of a female student.
Acting registrar Prof Dr Saiful Islam said Abdur Rahim, head of the university's security department, filed the case with Hathazari Police Station on Tuesday against 98 identified and over 1,000 unidentified individuals. No arrests have been made yet.
Police said a general diary was also filed over the looting of arms from the university's security office. "We are investigating the incident," said Abu Kawsar, officer-in-charge of Hathazari Police Station.
