SYLHET, Nov. 28 -- A teenager was killed in Sylhet's Badambagicha area late Thursday (Nov. 27) following a clash between two groups.

The victim, Shah Mahmud Hasan Tapu, 17, was the son of Shah Enamul Haque and lived in Udayan 40/2, Badambagicha, Sylhet.

Police said the conflict between the groups escalated around 11:30 p.m., when a member of one faction, Mohammad Zahid Hasan, son of Shafiqul Islam from Khasdobir area, stabbed Tapu repeatedly. Tapu was taken to Osmani Medical College Hospital by family members but died at 6 a.m. Friday.
