Dhaka, March 26 -- year-old boy died from electrocution in Dhaka's Jatrabari area on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Bijoy, 17, son of the late Sultan from Kutubkhali village in Jatrabari.

Shahida, the victim's aunt, said Bijoy was electrocuted around 8:30 am while working with electricity at his home.

She rescued him from the scene and rushed him to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) at 10:30 am. Unfortunately, doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

His body has been kept in Ward No. 7 of the hospital.
