Dhaka, July 3 -- Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed said Bangladesh lost control of the first ODI against Sri Lanka after a sudden collapse in the middle of their chase, triggered by the dismissal of set batter Tanzid Hasan.

Bangladesh were in a strong position at 100 for 1 while chasing Sri Lanka's 244. But things fell apart quickly as they lost seven wickets for just five runs, ending up all out for 167 and handing Sri Lanka a 77-run victory.

Speaking after the match, Taskin, who returned to international cricket after nearly four months with an impressive 4 for 47, said the team panicked after a couple of quick dismissals.
