, Feb. 7 -- BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman is set for an intensive campaign drive in the capital, joining 14 election rallies on Sunday and Monday as the party launches its final push ahead of the national election.

The rallies will be held across Dhaka North and South city areas, said BNP Election Steering Committee Spokesperson Mahdi Amin on Saturday.

Briefing reporters at the party's Gulshan Election office, Mahdi said Tarique will address six rallies in Dhaka North on Sunday.

According to the schedule, the BNP Chief will speak at a rally in his own constituency, Dhaka-17, on the ECB premises at 2:00 pm.

He will then address rallies in Dhaka-16 at Pallabi Ward-2 Lal Math near the metro station at 2:40 pm, Dhaka-15 at Adarsha High Scho...
