Dhaka, Aug. 1 -- In their sixth game of the ongoing tri-series in England, Bangladesh under-19 posted 224 against the hosts on Thursday at Billericay.

Tanzid Hasan, the left-handed opener hits 117 off 113 with 16 fours and two sixes.

England under-19 won the toss and opted to field first. Their decision seemed to be a good one as they picked the first wicket of Bangladesh in just 18 runs.

But in the second wicket stand, Tanzid and Mahmudul Hasan Joy added 118 runs which set a good foundation for Bangladesh to post a big total.

However, the young Tigers failed to take advantage of a good start as the middle-order failed to deliver a firm batting show.
